Setting up a survey

Surveys are deprecated — removal scheduled for 2026-07-10

The Surveys feature has been deprecated and will be permanently removed on 10 July 2026.

What this means for you:

  • You can no longer create new surveys or attach surveys to chatbots as pre- or post-surveys.
  • Existing surveys are read-only. You can view or delete them, but not edit them.
  • Survey data is still accessible until the removal date. Export any data you need before 10 July 2026.
  • After removal, all survey records and any associated data will be deleted.

If you currently use surveys to collect responses before or after a chat session, consider these alternatives:

  • Embed questions in your chatbot prompt — structure the chatbot to open and close the conversation with the questions you need.
  • Send survey links manually — provide participants with a link to an external form (for example, Google Forms) before or after the chat session.
  • Use participant data tools — store responses directly in participant data using the Update participant data tool.
