Surveys have been permanently removed

The Surveys feature has been permanently removed from Open Chat Studio.

What this means for you:

  • Surveys can no longer be viewed, created, edited, deleted, or linked to chatbots.
  • The 30-day read-only export window that followed the initial deprecation (announced 10 June 2026) closed on 10 July 2026.
  • All survey records and any associated data have been deleted. This data cannot be recovered.

If you previously used surveys to collect responses before or after a chat session, consider these alternatives:

  • Embed questions in your chatbot prompt — structure the chatbot to open and close the conversation with the questions you need.
  • Send survey links manually — provide participants with a link to an external form (for example, Google Forms) before or after the chat session.
  • Use participant data tools — store responses directly in participant data using the Update participant data tool.
